About this policy

Official Lookup operates OfficialLookup and SIA Verify. This policy explains what information these services handle and how.

Information we hold

• Your email address and plan, when you sign up for an API key.
• API keys, stored only as one-way hashes, never in readable form.
• Usage counts for each key, so we can apply plan limits.
• Billing details, which are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Lookups

Searches run against public-record sources. SIA licence numbers are checked and then discarded, not stored.

How we use information

To issue and manage your key, apply plan limits, send service and billing emails, and keep the service secure.

Sharing

We don't sell or share your information. It is passed only to the services that run Official Lookup: Stripe for billing, our hosting provider, and the public-record publishers needed to answer a lookup.

Storage and security

Keys are stored as hashes and webhook secrets are encrypted. Data is held only as long as needed to run your account.

Your rights and deletion

You can ask to see or delete your data, or cancel your key, at any time. You can cancel a paid plan from the billing page.

Changes

We'll update this page if the service, how it uses data, or the law changes.
